Being Stressed Is The Opposite Of Faith

What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true. Job 3:25 (NLT)

You don’t have to live a stressed-out life. Being overwhelmed by stress is not normal and it’s not something you have to put up with as a Christian.

Accepting this stressed-out existence has to stop because it’s killing us. It causes sickness, mental breakdown, divorce, and it can even influence people to take their own lives. We need to get equipped to properly handle stress and realize that the Bible has the answer.

You see, being stressed-out is the same thing as living in fear and the Bible has a lot to say about fear. Fear comes from imagining the worst-case scenario and it’s a big problem because everything you fear begins to get worse.

Actually, fear works the same way as faith, but in reverse. Faith involves positive meditation. You think about and get convinced that you can have every promise in the Bible and then your heart goes to work to bring those promises into your life.

However, fear is negative meditation. You believe the worst will happen. Because you believe it, your heart goes to work to bring what you fear into your life, which is a lesson we can learn from Job.

The good news is that you don’t have to let fear defeat you. Stress doesn’t have to make you sick and tired; it can make you stronger and better.

You can choose to react with faith. Don’t wake up each morning thinking about all the problems you’re going to face that day or you will be stressed out. Expect amazing things to happen because God has great plans for you. You’re blessed and His favour is on you!
