Many people have come to believe that God is an angry God. They believe God brings consequences on your life if you don’t live up to a certain moral standard. They say that God is judging countries and cities and is punishing them with tsunamis, earthquakes and wars.
These people mean well. Their intention
is to please God, but they don’t fully understand what Jesus accomplished for us, and it’s sad to see.
Did Jesus take the curse or not? If He didn’t, then we need to ignore Galatians 3:13. But if He did, then let’s believe it. Jesus did take the curse and, in its place, we are promised that God will meet all of our needs for every area of our lives (Philippians 4:19, NIV).
Every promise in the Bible is yours. God has left nothing out. While we’re all on a journey toward experiencing more of His promises through our faith in Him, you need to know that the needs of your body, soul, mind and emotions as well as your material and financial needs can all be met in Him.
Jesus paid the price for your sins. He took the curse that was set in place as punishment for sin. Not only that but as a believer you have been adopted into God’s family. You’re a new creation in Him, and you are empowered by Him to stand in faith to have all of your needs met.
If every Christian fully understood what was theirs in Christ, none would ever try to change the simple truth. In Him, you have everything you need and so much more.
