While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22 (NKJV)
Most Christians approach prayer like it’s witchcraft. I know that’s a strong statement, but hear me out.
Many are focused on trying to get a spirit force to move on a situation and change it. Although the force they’re looking to is God, which is good, the process is wrong. And it’s not that different from those who are going to other spirit forces for supernatural help.
While there’s nothing wrong with asking God for miracles, Christians get caught up in begging God for great finances, health and relationships. The sad thing is that sometimes the rest of the world can actually fare better in these areas because they aren’t looking to a supernatural power to fix everything for them. They have success because they happen to have beliefs that line up with God’s truth.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I believe in miracles and I’m so grateful for the ones I’ve received in my life. But if you don’t plant any good seed, you can expect a harvest of weeds. If you aren’t planting God’s truth in your heart, you’re going to end up with a bunch of lies and false beliefs that lead you down all the wrong paths in life.
God’s promises are yours. The key is not to try to get God to do something. It’s not about praying so hard that God takes enough pity on you to grant you your wishes. It’s not about earning it somehow through good works. God’s blessing is already upon you.
This process is just about getting his Word and His principles into your heart where they can begin to produce a great harvest.
