The light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” Ephesians 5:14 (NLT)
If you’ve accepted Christ as your saviour, Heaven is your home for eternity. But I want you to wake up to the fact that you don’t have to wait to get there to enjoy beauty, joy, passion, and a truly adventurous, exciting life. You can have it now.
As believers, we’re Heaven-bound, but we don’t have to live a hell-like existence until we get there! Sometimes we seem to fall asleep at the wheel of life, but today’s verse is saying, wake up! Let me show you the way to life!
After all, Jesus didn’t teach us to sit tight, hunker down through a miserable life, or hold the fort until he returns. While He did say, Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows, He also said, But take heart, because I have overcome the world (John 16:33, NLT).
That’s because Jesus died to get you a life here on earth, too.
No matter what the enemy throws at you, you can rise up victorious as more than a conqueror (1 Corinthians 15:57, Psalms 20:8, Romans 8:37). When they nailed Jesus’ hands to the cross, He paid the price in full to not only make you right with God but to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow (John 10:10, TPT)!
This is what the Word of God teaches about the life we can lead and enjoy today—before we ever see Heaven!
