SHARING THE MIND OF THE KING

For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].  1 Corinthians 2:16 (AMP)

Let me ask you a question: was Christ good at outwitting the enemy? Yes, He was. And today’s verse says that as born-again believers, we can have Jesus’ mind and be guided by His thoughts.

That’s an incredible gift because we have an enemy constantly trying to deceive, confuse and prevent us from following the paths God has prepared for us.

It brings to mind one lady who started coming to our church years ago. She had a phenomenal testimony and bubbled over with joy for Jesus. Then one day, someone offended her, and she stopped attending church. Why?

She made the mistake of not keeping her mind renewed with God’s Word. Because of that, she didn’t realize that Satan would bring offences through others as he tried to separate her from what brought her life.

You see, we need to keep meditating on God’s Word so we don’t fall for the enemy’s traps and get derailed from our destinies. There’s a reason Paul tells believers to “be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think” (Romans 12:2, TPT). Why? Because “this will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”

In other words, Satan can’t take out a believer who consistently washes their mind with the Word. They’ve grounded their hearts in the truth and are sensitive to Holy Spirit’s perfect and wise guidance.

It’s life-changing to walk out your destiny guided by the mindset and thoughts of Christ!
