TAKE THE VITAMINS OUT OF THE JAR

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)

What is one thing the Bible repeatedly reminds believers to do? It is to speak God’s Word.

And why is that so important? Because it benefits you! When weariness or emotional exhaustion tries to weigh on you like a wet blanket, speaking what God says pushes it off.

So don’t read the Word to yourself; read it aloud. Then take a minute or two and begin to speak over your day, your family, your business and your future. This is how you take God’s promises and give them a voice.

I love doing this! I might say something like, “Father, I thank You that no weapon formed against us prospers, and no deadly thing will hurt us. I claim that over my family as well. I thank You for Your favour over our finances and the works of our hands. Today, I want to thank You that I have Your energy, that Your strength is mine and that Your angels protect me.”

I’ll often talk on and on like this until I sense victory rising up on the inside of me. You see, speaking the Word is what puts it to work. It’s like having a jar of vitamins in your medicine cabinet. The vitamins may work great, but you don’t benefit from them until you digest them and get them into your system.

God’s Word works the same way. To enjoy the power of the Word and get His promises in your heart, your mind and your life, you must declare it.

What will you start speaking over today?
