Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 (NLT)
Praising God is an act of war. It pushes back on sickness, debt, despair and every negative thing coming against you. As you passionately declare who God is and what He’s already done for you, you release the miraculous into your life.
I’ve discovered that the more I praise God, the more I want to spend time with Him and the more I’m aware of His presence and power in my life. In times when problems are pushing at me, I’ve found that I need to go somewhere by myself and declare, “God, You are good. You make me an overcomer. I’m going to succeed!”
You might be in the darkest time of your life, but you can declare with the psalmist in today’s verse, “Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.”
Declare it with passion. Let it move your heart and fill you with hope. Proverbs 4:23 states that out of the heart flow the issues—or boundaries—of life. You can determine what you let into your life, good or bad, with the words you consistently speak. Psalm 45:1 (NKJV) says, “My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” The words you speak are writing on the tablets of your heart—and your heart releases what you write on it.
So prophesy to your future. Based on the promises of God, decide what kind of marriage, home, mind, finances and life you’re going to have. Then get up and declare it. Sing praise and thank God that it’s a done deal!
