But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence with in accomplishes] is… joy. Galatians 5:22 (AMPC)
We all want to enjoy life. There’s nothing wrong with that. However, many assume that the only way to enjoy life is to eliminate all problems, but that’s simply not true. As long as you believe that, you won’t know the joy spoken of in Galatians 5:22.
When your joy is dependent having a lack of problems in your life, it causes you to focus on problems. In other words, you only have joy if you look for problems, and see that you don’t have any. But if you’re always looking for problems, you’re bound to find some!
This is a huge issue because as soon as one problem is solved, another takes its place. That’s life! But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have joy. Joy is not something you accomplish by solving all your problems. It has nothing to do with how good you are or how well you perform. It’s something Holy Spirit accomplishes deep within you.
Refuse to allow problems to steal your joy. And if someone does something that makes you upset, you don’t have to hand them control over your emotions. You can maintain your joy and peace despite it all.
If you find this difficult to do, you may need to spend more time with your Father God. As you worship Him and spend time in the word, Holy Spirit will increasingly improve your ability to weather every storm with His joy and complete peace.
