Jesus is the most amazing gift to humanity.
There’s simply no one like Jesus. We often think that as the Son of God, Jesus was all knowing and powerful. In truth, Jesus surrendered His power when He came to the planet as a human baby, and He forever gave up the form He once had.
Yes, Jesus was the Son of God, but He referred to Himself as the Son of Man. He came to this planet to represent the human race, and to save us. Take a minute to meditate on this.
Although Jesus was the Son of God, He didn’t perform one miracle for His first thirty years. Only after He was baptized, once the Spirit of God had come out of Heaven to descend upon Him like a dove, did His ministry begin.
This teaches us something important. Jesus relied on Holy Spirit to empower Him just as we do today. He was the first Spirit-filled human being. In fact, when Jesus cast out demons, they seemed shocked that such power and authority could come from a human being. Jesus is our example of what we are capable of today as believers!
Today I’m challenging you to take the time to think about Jesus, and let His example inspire you to reach out into your world with Holy Spirit’s incredible power and love!
