And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3 (NIV)
The whole earth is filled with God’s glory. It’s in all that He has created, so it’s around us everywhere we go.
God’s glory doesn’t just apply to church-related, spiritual things. All of God’s creation brings Him glory. Every budding tree, every little hummingbird, every mountain and river…it all brings Him glory. The next time you’re in awe of a beautiful building or a great song, recognize that it can all bring God glory if you have the right focus!
If the whole earth is full of His glory, then so are you! When you succeed at something, using the gifts God has placed within you, you bring glory to God. When you create something beautiful, it can bring Him glory. You are His creation, so you bring Him glory.
His glory is everywhere you go, and so is His presence. If you have the impression that you should talk to someone as you go about your day, remember that His presence is in you. Don’t talk yourself out of reaching out to others because you don’t know what to say. He’ll give you the words!
And don’t hesitate because you are comparing yourself with someone else and you think they are better at talking to people than you are. If God leads you to someone, it’s because He wants you to talk to them. He wouldn’t give you the nudge if He didn’t think you were capable.
Begin to see God’s glory in every day. Realize how vital you are to your church and how much influence you have everywhere you go. You can do great things because you take after your heavenly dad!
