Do you ever worry that you might miss what you’re supposed to do with your life?
Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has a hope-filled plan for each of our lives. However, many people panic when they hear this and frantically begin to search for their destiny. They are so concerned with what they’re supposed to DO that they forget what they have BECOME.
We put the cart before the horse when we only focus on doing. We want to measure our spiritual health by what we are accomplishing, but God looks at the hearts. According to Romans 8:29, God’s predestined plan is for you to be conformed to the image of His Son.
Taking precedence over any other purpose we serve here on earth, we are all destined to become more like Jesus! In other words, before you do, you become!
If you feel like you have to always measure up to everyone’s expectations and the pressure to perform—forget about that. Regardless of what you get done today, you can sense God’s love and build your relationship with Him.
Remember that when you gave your life to Jesus, you became like Him—a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). As you continue to get to know Jesus, you will find out more of who you really are. You also begin to act more like Him! It will be impossible to stop you from being the type of person who helps others and makes a difference on this planet.
