People cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT)
God-moments are all around you, and can happen everywhere you go.
God arranges coincidences for you every day. He knew before the world began where you would be and when, so it’s no chance happening when you run into certain people who need your help.
Actually, He arranges these God-opportunities for you all the time. For example, He might set you up in a certain line in the grocery store so you can talk to one young girl who is having a particularly frustrating day. When you encourage her, she will probably be floored by the coincidence. She won’t be able to believe that someone would go out of their way to brighten her day on that particular day of all days, and she might wonder, Could it be that God arranged it?
In fact, this very thing happened, and eventually the person who did the encouraging invited the cashier out to church. Later this cashier invited some of the other cashiers and now seven are attending our church from that one store! Little things count. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that we don’t understand the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. In other words, our brains will never be able to fully understand how important our role is.
You can touch so many people’s lives from the beginning of your life to the end—every kind word and action, every time you influence someone with your example, every person who gives their life to Christ because they saw something in you that they wanted.
Keep doing little things…you’ll only realize the full impact when you reach heaven.
