Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.” Romans 3:4 (NLT)
If you think badly about yourself, those negative beliefs were likely formed early in life. A childhood bully or an overly critical parent may have said things that you are still allowing to define you today. This doesn’t need to be the case.
According to Romans 3:4, everyone else is a liar if they go against God’s truth. It says even if everyone else is a liar, God is true (NLT). It doesn’t matter what anyone has said about you—ex-boyfriend or girlfriends, parents, teachers, spouses—they are all liars if they disagree with what God says about you.
The best way to find out what God thinks of you is to read the Bible. Within its pages you find God’s thoughts on all kinds of topics, including His love for you.
God calls you the apple of His eye in Psalm 17:8 and His treasured possession in Deuteronomy 7:6. No matter what the circumstances of your birth, you are not a mistake. He didn’t create you and say, “Whoops! That didn’t work out the way I planned.” Your individuality, personality and distinctiveness are all by design.
Some may not appreciate your uniqueness, but God does. God loves the fact that He has created no two people the same.
You are loved, accepted and appreciated just the way you are. When you realize this, you can be free to grow and change in ways you may never have dreamed possible.
