Powerful Gifts To Enjoy

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby) the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in my name [in my place to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. John 14:26 (AMPC)

If someone gives you an expensive gift, it is no use to you left in its wrapping. You need to accept a gift and open it to enjoy. The same is true with Holy Spirit.

Yesterday we covered the first three of seven gifts that accompany Holy Spirit. He gives us comfort, counsel and help whenever we ask. Today, we will cover four more powerful gifts He brings.

4. Intercession. There are times in life, whether you know it or not, when you need someone to fight on your behalf. Holy Spirit can divert a crisis or bring good things into your future, even without your knowledge when you trust Him to intervene for you.

5. Advocating. Anyone facing court knows how vital a good lawyer is—someone who can advocate for you. Holy Spirit supports and defends you as you walk through things you don’t understand.

6. Strength. Holy Spirit is ready and willing to provide us with the strength we need to rise to the daily challenge in front of us—whatever we are facing. No issue is too big or too small. You can always ask for a dose of His strength.

7. Standby. Holy Spirit can act like an emergency responder, although He is much more than that. When you pray, all of His resources that are on standby come your way.

Each of these gifts are yours. Are you grateful for the seven gifts and do you make room to accept them into your life?
