I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.] John 15:15 (AMPC)
Jesus, the King of kings, calls you His friend according to John 15:15. You may know that He is your friend, but have you ever really thought about it?
Most religions teach people to strive to appease an impossible-to-please god. Some worship stone idols, looking to placate angry gods. They may even pour the last of the milk into holes in the idol when their family is starving. This is so sad, considering that the milk just runs to the ground for the rats to drink. Some strap explosives to their body and kill hundreds in a suicide bombing. Others pierce their skin and walk upstairs on their knees until the blood runs.
Meanwhile, this is what Jesus is saying to us all: You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you (John 15:16, AMPC).
The God we serve chooses us to be His friends!
It is unbelievably special to know that Jesus has known you from day one, flaws and all, and He chose you as His friend. Jesus wants every person to be His friend, but more importantly, I want you to know that He wants a relationship with YOU.
