And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

In today’s verse, Jesus speaks of our authority as believers.
He says that we have the power to bind and loose things on this planet, and He makes it clear what we are allowed to bind and loose. We have the power to bind everything that is bound in heaven, and loose what is loosed in heaven.
What is loosed in heaven? Health, prosperity, blessing, peace, joy, love, belonging and protection. All the incredible promises of God are loosed in heaven!
What is bound in heaven? Sickness, disease, fear, dread, jealousy, malice, pride and all the curses of the law found in Deuteronomy 28.
So this gives us clear parameters as to what we can use our authority to bind on this planet.
God wants us to walk in joy, peace and forgiveness, but when we pray, we often assume that we’re begging God to bind and loose things into our lives. But He’s already given us the authority. God isn’t withholding anything from us! He has freely given us the keys to His kingdom.
When people are sick, we can pray over them and expect sickness to go.
When things are going wrong, we are empowered to make a difference.
When you pray, realize that you have the authority to bind and loose things on this planet. God has already agreed to give us His promises, so when you pray, you can declare God’s promises over your life and the lives of your loved ones, in the name of Jesus.
