Never Stop Dreaming

Leon FontaineDevoted

This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” Romans 8:15 (MSG)

We were designed to never stop dreaming. No matter who you are, how old you are or what circumstances you’ve faced, God has dreams He wants to ignite within your heart, starting today.

If you aren’t sure what this kind of dreaming looks like, just spend some time talking to a young child. If you ask them about the future, positivity pours out of them. Whether they’re talking about what they’re going to be when they grow up or they’re telling you about what they’re going to do at the playground when they get there, it’s filled with hope, excitement, creativity and positive expectations.

The truth is, we weren’t designed to grow out of this stage. We are to read God’s Word like little children, with an excited expectancy that we’re going to walk in everything it says we can have. It’s a letter from our daddy who loves us and who never goes back on His promises.

The more you claim these promises out loud, the more you will grow in confident expectation that they are yours. Why not do it right now? Put these into your own words today:

Isaiah 54:14: “In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.”

Deuteronomy 30:9: “Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land.”
