And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV)
God has designed your heart to connect you to the miraculous.
Over the last few days, we’ve been talking about the power of speaking God’s promises over our lives. It’s important to note that we might not see results right away. It might take weeks or months, but we can be sure that things are happening. It’s just that the changes are first taking place inside us, in our hearts.
This process is often compared to what happens when a seed is planted. At first, it looks like nothing is happening. No change is seen above the surface of the soil, but a lot is going on below. That seed is growing, and it’s only a matter of time before it begins to produce a harvest.
When we plant God’s promises, it first brings us hope. Hope is simply the expectation that something good is going to happen. And if we continue to hope, eventually it becomes a confident knowing, and we call this faith. Holy Spirit works within us to establish new beliefs in our hearts, and things begin to change.
Start right now. Search out a promise that deals with something you’re facing in your life right now. God has promised us health and prosperity; He’s promised that we can live our lives filled with wisdom, joy and peace. If you don’t know where to start, just claim today’s verse, saying something like this: “Thank you, Father, for blessing me abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that I need, I will abound in every good work!”
