Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 (NKJV)
No matter what has happened to you in the past or what you’re struggling with right now, you can change the future.
You see, life will bring times of pain and struggle, but through it all you need to hang on to a very important truth: God isn’t behind the bad things that happen to you.
So many people blame God when crisis hits. They assume that God must be trying to teach them something through the pain and suffering they experience, but this is not what the Bible teaches. It does say that God can cause all things to work together for our good (Romans 8:28), but that doesn’t mean that He causes bad things to happen.
James 1:2–8 is another well-known portion of scripture that talks about being thankful during trials and trouble because they cause us to develop endurance and patience. But again, nothing in these verses talk about God causing sickness or disaster to happen in our lives. It’s quite the opposite. Jesus came so we could have and enjoy life—in abundance, to the full, until it overflows (John 10:10)!
You have a great life ahead of you, so take action today to begin to live the amazing life God wants you to live. Walk toward forgiving and forgetting what is behind and pressing toward the freedom God has for you (Philippians 3:13–14). Stay solution-minded. See a doctor if you’re struggling with depression or any illness. Seek out natural help. Exercise and reach out to friends.
Don’t lose hope as you stand on God’s promises! Be confident that He has a provision for you.
