But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
As believers, it is possible to live in a state of peace, joy, prosperity and health.
Does this mean that we’ll never struggle in these areas? No, we live in a fallen world where stuff happens. Living in a state of peace, for example, doesn’t mean we become immune to feeling angry, worried or stressed out. It simply means we’ve learned how to regularly access the peace of Christ that is in us.
It’s about seeking first the kingdom of God (His beliefs and promises) and seeking His righteousness (the fact that you are right with God through Christ). Everything else—health, prosperity, peace, joy—comes out of the heart beliefs that result.
The more you realize you have God’s peace, the more that state of peace begins to dominate everything around you. Similarly, living in a state of health doesn’t mean you’ll never get sick. It means you are actively gaining confidence in God’s promises of health and healing. You believe that this inner state of health you’ve been given in Christ will dominate anything that comes your way.
It’s not that you somehow tap into the power of God and it overrides natural laws. When the first airplane took to the sky, it wasn’t because someone prayed for flight to be possible. The laws that make flight possible were in place since the beginning of time. We just had to discover them. The same is true with this inner state—this belief in God’s promises. We can learn to walk in them.
The truth is, you can walk in the miraculous—that state of experiencing God’s supernatural power—on a regular basis!
