Stop Surviving, Start Thriving!

For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.  John 1:16 (AMPC)

How are grace and mercy different? People often get these two terms confused. They think that grace is God’s ability to accept and forgive you, even when you mess up. But actually, that’s the definition of mercy.

Thank God for his mercy! It’s wonderful that he loves and accepts us in our imperfection. But if we want to walk in his promises, serve him and experience the incredible kind of life he’s prepared for us, we also need to understand grace.

You see, grace is God’s favour and power at work in us and through us. It’s the capacity he’s given us, the ability he’s placed within us, and it includes everything he has ever promised to provide for us. Just like mercy, grace is unearned (John 1:17). And because of this grace, God’s ability is already within you.

Grace means God is empowering you to live the incredible life he has for you.

You already have everything you need within you to take your life to the next level—one grace after another, blessing upon blessing, favour upon favour, and gift upon gift. You can overcome temptation. You can learn, grow and change. You can build incredible relationships with others and with your Father God. You can have a rewarding career and financial success.

Grace is yours! So, if you feel like you’re barely surviving, his grace will help you to start thriving…and living the life of your dreams!
