God’s promises can determine your future.
Think about that for a minute. Imagine what your life would be like if you were walking in God’s promises.
Take one in particular and picture it. For example, you could meditate on our verse today which says that nothing can separate you from God’s love. Picture this—His love is with you, in you and around you. It’s everywhere you go. Even when you’re at your worst, God loves you. When you feel unimportant, He’s saying, “I value you so much that I sent my Son to die for you.”
Whenever you mess up and feel ashamed, He’s your proud dad saying, “Don’t worry. You’ll get it next time! I believe in you!” If someone takes advantage of you and you didn’t see it coming, He’s right there, healing up your heart and encouraging you to love again.
There is great power in meditating on God’s promises. Find verses that promise you something that you lack right now. Listen to messages about that promise and start claiming God’s Word out loud. Let it change the way you speak about your future and allow them to alter your behaviour.
You can have the kind of life God has promised you. Just keep getting His Word into your heart. This journey from head to heart takes time—meditation time—but it’s a small price to pay when you think of all you have to gain. In time, you’ll become so fully convinced that nothing will stop God’s promises from blasting out of your heart into your world!
