How To Kick Doubt To The Curb

But now the righteousness of God has been revealed independently and altogether apart from the Law…. Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. Romans 3:21–22 (AMPC)

When we give our lives to Jesus, we get in on God’s grace. Understanding grace powers faith because we realize we have everything we need within us to live the awesome life God has promised us in His Word.

However, we also need to understand righteousness to develop unshakable faith. You see, whenever we try to believe for God’s promises, our biggest enemy is doubt. All our faults and failures come to mind, and we think we haven’t been good enough to deserve God’s help.

We need to realize that God’s promises don’t depend on our perfect behaviour. Righteousness isn’t based on what we do; it’s based on what Jesus has done. As believers, we are right with God because we trust in Jesus. As a result, we’re entitled to every blessing and promise Jesus deserves.

If you want to see more of God at work in your life, focus on the fact that you qualify for every promise in the Bible through Christ Jesus. It’s not about trying to earn His blessings. It’s not about trying to work up enough faith to get God to release healing or any other promise into your life.

God has already commanded every blessing upon you! He has given you all things for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

Just keep growing in your understanding of grace and righteousness by studying God’s Word, and by renewing your mind in the truth, you will develop an unshakable faith that sees the miraculous!
