The Perks Of Citizenship

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ Philippians 3:20 (NKJV)

As believers, we are citizens of the kingdom of God and are entitled to miraculous blessings.

Maybe you’re going through a tough time financially. As a citizen of heaven, you can experience supernatural favour in your finances. Whether it comes in the form of a new job, some other opportunity, or the wisdom you need to solve a problem, you can find the power you need within you because Holy Spirit is in you—no matter what’s happening with the government or the economy.

As a citizen of heaven, you are also entitled to supernatural protection. I’ve experienced this protection several times in my life. One example was when a guy tried to attack me with a tire iron. As he was walking toward me, all I said was, “In the name of Jesus,” and he immediately dropped the tire iron and ran. I can’t explain why, but I know it wasn’t a result of my power. Something miraculous happened that I can’t explain. As a citizen of God’s kingdom, I exercised my right and privilege to use the name of Jesus, and something miraculous happened.

Health-wise, I could tell you stories of where doctors didn’t know what to do, but believers continued to pray and speak healing and things happened that the doctors couldn’t explain. Health and healing also flow from within you when you are a citizen of the kingdom of God.

As a citizen of God’s kingdom, never forget that you’re entitled to rights and privileges: favour, blessings, protection, health and every other promise you can find in the Bible!
