I love what you say here Pastor Leon. I came from a life of heavy drinking. Two of my brothers and my sister ( who recently passed away from cancer ) are alcoholics. My other brother was killed by a drunk driver. I was on a path of self destruction and Alcoholism. I love youth college and career, because these are the events the things that helped me learn about God's love. They showed me that there was a better way to have fun than being drunk and drinking. I was a heavy drinker, to the point that I would say I was an alcoholic myself for 9+ years. God totally delivered me from drinking. He Changed my desire looking for fun by getting drunk and causeing trouble, to a godly desire to enjoy life and have fun with peace.
AND PRAISE GOD I HAVE NEVER BEEN TEMPTED TO GO BACK SINCE HE DELIVERED ME. I'm not perfect I still make bad choices which I suffer the consequences for but this is not one that I have. Even when my first wife left me to go back to that lifestyle, I would not even think about it I was not tempted.
I do my best to love God as best I can because I know how much he loves me.
I think of prov 31:4&5. We are called to be kings and high priests and just not good cause we forget the law and forget what's good what's right.
I hope this helps someone

We have been watching the Miracle Channel for the past few years and it has been SUCH a BLESSING!! We acknowledge God's Anointing on your life Leon, and really appreciate your messages and the way you interview others. We appreciate your ability to interview people so graciously.A lot of interviewers we have watched interrupt their guests and over talk their guests. That has always bothered me. I really appreciate that you don't do that. It's refreshing to listen to you!! We love your heart because we see Jesus in you! May the Lord Bless you for giving yourself to serve him through this ministry. So many of us are being so well fed & challenged in our walk with the Lord. Your brother & sister in Christ, Brent & Cindy Anderson

I like what you said: this is a very refreshing approach to Christianity. It eases the cringe factor that unfortunately this world has grown to react with but still retains the realness of God. I personally find it a challenge to communicate at a level that doesn't involve Christian-ese, but I yearn for that natural and normal way of sharing God. I understand that it's probably as simple as normal talk but I still can't help but sense that cringe factor creep up when I naturally talk about God's goodness and the great things He's done.

Keep up the awesome work Leon!

I have been thinking about this question recently and how God speaks to me. I like the Jonah example. Thanks!
